I believe the Blues may be close to unloading and trying to go full rebuild. Faulk and Saad may be the first to go.
Both signed long-term w/NMC - Can't see much of a market for Saad.I believe the Blues may be close to unloading and trying to go full rebuild. Faulk and Saad may be the first to go.

Sundqvist/Blais could be decent depth acquisitions for teams looking to make a run, believe both pending UFAs. I quite like Sundqvist in a 4th line role, haven't seen much of Blais this year, maybe Blues fans can chime in. Both big bodies made for playoffs IMO.
Bruins would be interested in Saad if STL retained a million and a half.
Derek Forbort to make the cap work (and he can be traded at the deadline)
And a small add, maybe Mark McLaughlin or Jesper Boqvist or something.
Saad could make some sense as an in-season move if we have another forward heading out as part of the deal. Faulk would 100% be off-season if we were to bring him back in the mix, unless it's something nuts like a three-way trade with the Canes getting Faulk, someone else getting Pesce, and the Blues getting whatever futures package from (insert team here).Could see Canes sniffing around both to be honest but maybe would make more sense in the off-season.
Ya, very true. Was talking more about Faulk for off-season.Saad could make some sense as an in-season move if we have another forward heading out as part of the deal. It would be a different story if he were a pending free agent. I have concerns regarding his foot speed, he has looked pretty lackluster in his showings this year but that could be a team-wide issue. You can't see a market for a guy who consistently scores at a 20 goal pace signed at 4.5 million? I think with the cap going up there would be quite the market. Guys will start waiving NTC the second Army fully embraces the rebuild. The Blues are spiraling towards a bottom 5 finish.

I don't see much of a market for him now unless the Blues are taking on money in return. Likely have better value - or at least a chance to capitalize in a trade during the offseason.
yeah, i don't think foot speed is his issue. motor maybe. His foot speed is his real seperater and why he scores as much as he does. He’s a north south player who has speed and drives the net. Not particularly good playmaker. Not a great shooter. Responsible player though.
Good sign if he still has his wheels - The games I've watched, could be the whole team skating in molasses. His foot speed is his real seperater and why he scores as much as he does. Why? I mean if you are dismissing a coach in season seems like the goal is to be in the PO mix. Unless there was a feeling that he lost the room and the team was not playing hard for him.I believe the Blues may be close to unloading and trying to go full rebuild. Faulk and Saad may be the first to go.
I think you are undervaluing our guys again. I can't see dealing Faulk unless we get back 1st (or equivalent prospect).Faulk and Saad are still good players and would definitely help somebody in need. id take a 2nd for Faulk and a 3rd for Saad
blais you can have for not very much. faulk gonna cost you at least a 1st.Sammy Blais?
Possibly with Faulk.
Any rumblings (post-Berube) any of the Blues will be waiving their trade protections?I believe the Blues may be close to unloading and trying to go full rebuild. Faulk and Saad may be the first to go.
