Confirmed with Link: Brandon Carlo (15% retention) for Fraser Minten, conditional 2026 1st, 2025 4th

He's had like 5 concussions and a couple major injuries, has been in the league since 19, if anything the bruins moved him because they were worried about him again poorly.

Either way, I don't think he would have rebounded in Boston, I'm glad he's doing it somewhere. Hopefully it turns into a win-win trade.
So you're saying he's good enough unless he gets injured.

Still strange to me that when he signed the whole notion was to pair him with Mo, but it was abandoned early despite it working.

MO’s coming around with a predictable partner which is a nice outcome.

And Myers played a nice quiet game the other night.
Mo still didnt look good

Minten started hot he had a hat trick and 4 point game I think his first game. Since the first few days he has gone back to his 0.5ppg in the AHL he was here

I don’t know why, but I see som much similarity between Minten and Matt Frattin.

I think we did very well in the Carlo trade.

Laughton……: not so much.

I personally didn't want to make any trade because the core has done nothing in the playoffs.
Maybe grab another d not giving up a 2 1st Minten

At least Carlo is young and really good

Can't believe we have Tanev and Carlo as shutdown RD. They are both elite at what they do. Tanev as a #1 pair RD and Carlo on the 2nd pair and steady. We were 2 mins away from not getting this guy.
Rielly was trying to win the Masters this year it seemed.

Suddenly they add Carlo and he has been +10 over his last 10 games.

I know +/- can be misleading but that is a remarkable turn around and the credit goes mostly to Carlo

In hindsight (given where the Bruins are in the standings), this trade wasn't so bad.

Wow, if only super genius Dubas had figured out here that when you give one of your best and most highly compensated defender and actual partner to play with, said player plays better!

Instead, Dubas put a bunch of LHD players on their offside over and over, while thinking Holl was the only tried RHD we needed, for years…… except for adding superstar Barrie while wasting our best tradeable asset to get him.

Whodathunkit?

……. But I’m feeling much better now. 👍🏻

He did add Schenn and that was probably Rielly's best playoff, but always rentals.

Trading for Muzzin amd McCabe were big additions. Just too bad about Muzzin's health.

Dubas should have went hard after Tanev years ago.

But thank goodness the days of Holl are over.

Might not have made this trade if we didn’t do the Laughton trade..

Carlo has been such a stud he’s been worth it. Lock him up again in 2 seasons and we got our Tanev and hopefully some young guys to fill Carlo’s current role (Danford hopefully)

Still don't like the trade; this should have been Tanev all season, but due to the coach's inability to use his players properly, they had to overpay here.

The shutdown pairing of McCabe and Tanev is not one of the STL pairs they were working with.

Low-key choosing Brodie over Tanev in free agency back in 2020 was a mistake. Even though Brodie provided similar results for the first 2 1/2 years it was a lefty playing on his off side. And Tanev provides more leadership and a warrior mentality.

Muzzin and McCabe are/were LHD. Solid additions for sure, just no on RHD.

Tanev has been amazing and Schenn gave us a glimpse of how much better Rielly played with a RHD partner.

Unfortunately schennywas just a rental and we needed someone younger and with less mileage.

Welcome Carlo!
