Thank you. I thought I was the only one
It's been around since 2018 and got 2600 twitter followers. It doesn't seem to harvest tons of user analytics to sell. Pretty much just Google Analytics (which Google probably sells if anyone), so that's not how they're floating their site. It's almost Tampa Bay public access. More selective than YouTube, but also without the peaks.

Like Bolts Gaming, it's a part of the apparatus I don't really 'get'. These are personality-driven formats. A popular game might draw people in, but it's on the strength of the streamer or content creator that they'll stick around. They're trying to be corporate, and that's not going to work.

I'm not one to really put much into a topping off, but since it's the last building of phase one...

Does anyone have a link to what phase two is? The project's website isn't quite what I want (and a bit cumbersome to navigate) and only says that phase two is scheduled to end in 2027.

Isn’t phase 2 when the natural disaster DLC kicks in?

Université de Montréal Carabins varsity sports program is proud to announce that it has secured financial backing from Julien BriseBois, vice-president and general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the defending Stanley Cup champions.

A graduate of UdeM’s law faculty, BriseBois recently joined the Carabins Club des Gouverneurs with a generous personal donation of $75,000.
...
BriseBois’ donation specifically targets the Carabins women’s hockey team. The grant will support the professional development of coaches and coaching for student-athletes.
"Associating myself with the Carabins was natural. It’s a reflex for me to give back to my alma mater. As a graduate, we have a responsibility to promote the university which has given us the means to achieve our ambitions. And that's great because UdeM is one of the greatest academic institutions in the world," said BriseBois, a Greenfield Park native who at 44 is the second youngest GM in the NHL.
Over the past few days, BriseBois took time out to meet virtually with the student-athletes of the hockey team wearing blue-white-and-black jerseys.

"I’m extremely proud to be associated with UdeM and its other governors, and in particular with a renowned program like the Carabins," he said. "The growth and success of its women’s hockey team has been phenomenal right from the get-go. Canadian university hockey epitomizes excellence within the pyramid of women’s hockey and the Carabins program is a point of reference in the country."

Not sure how the Bill Gates divorce will affect Cascade Investments and the Gates/Vinik redevelopment. As he had a pre-nup I expect there will not be a big dent in his estimate $124B net worth.

I don't see how Water Street would be affected.

These drone videos are cool (those sidewalks), but eye level is what matters. They're not quite at the point of showing that off yet, but they are lowering the drone gradually over these videos.

I'm seeing a lot of A/C units on these roofs. Air conditioning normally goes in pretty late. Electrical would be in, and possibly plumbing.

I'm surprised that they dropped the 'G' word in there.

As for the clip of Vinik being 'Red Sox minority owner', well its CNBC.

What's the chance Tampa will get a NBA franchise? The Raptors playing here is just temporary, but they proved the logistics of NHL/NBA sharing the arena works.
Bill Gates or Vinik must have buddies that want to buy a franchise.

It's no problem. Boston does it. LA does it with the Lakers and Clippers sharing with the Kings (as well as a WNBA team). Orlando does it with the Magic and Solar Bears, technically, although not NHL.

Where the problems come in is with schedule crowding. There's only so many Fridays and Saturdays to go around, and they have to work around concerts and other big events who have normally scheduled things like a year out in advance. Bieber doesn't want Wednesday either.

Team Tampa Bay can exist because people are buying tickets to everything (except the Rays, who are sort of on an island). Adding any more major league teams would disrupt the equilibrium.

There is definitely a hierarchy in having multiple tenants, and there can be resentment, if not in the front offices, then with the fans, because what constitutes a fair schedule?

edit: also, if we're talking about Gates, Seattle doesn't have an NBA team.

I'd say the chances are zero as long as the Magic are around. Plus there's arguably too many pro sports teams here as is stretching our dollars thin. Tampa doesn't strike me as much of a basketball town tbh.

Vinik appears to have invested in a sports app.

What if they buy the 99 cent preview at the start of an intermission?

If they're selling individual games, that will have a niche, but then Buzzer isn't anything special. Every streamer will do that.

I just don't love the lettering or numbers of the names on the original jerseys.

Wish we could just do the reverse retros again.

Seems strange that we would get a “classic series” jersey and then another new one for the stadium series game against Nashville
