Brampton Steelheads 2024 25 Season Thread Part I

8-1-1-0 in their last ten and started the northern trip with 2 wins. Team has looked much better getting key players back and some time to play together and jell. This stretch of games has allowed them to pull away from some teams below them but they still don't have enough race tack though to catch Oshawa realistically. See how the season plays out, hopefully the injuries away away. Should be a heck of a first series, lots of scenarios with the top 4 in the East. Either way a good team is going to be out in the first round.

The battle of Brantford/Kingston/Oshawa is all about trying to avoid Brampton in the 1st round. Seems like the only time 1 of the top 5 teams loses is when they are playing each other.

MacDonell signs a 3 yr ELC with Dallas, 6th round pick.

Looks like JR is staying with the hot hand, Gillespie gets the start again.

I don't see Brampton anywhere but 5th now but there is some possible moving around above and below them. No doubt Sudbury will want this one, and on a streak to boot.

During the injury run he got some games and I was impressed, he could have a role coming up on the playoffs.

Goofy game last night, Gillespie didn't have strong game but it happens and he's been pretty steady lately. Was surprised as the Steelheads mounted a little too late comeback. Hopefully the team rebounds tonight against Peterborough who are a better team then their record might indicate.

Martone is back tonight having served his two games.

2 goals tonight so far lol called it
 
Second game in a row outshooting the opponent by a big margin. Overall play was really good, they'll give OSH or KGN a tough first round. My first visit to Meridian Centre, no complaints.

Leskovar signs a ELC with the Wild.

Steelheads locked into 5th, and the Petes are out. This weekend has more interest in the score board watching as the playoffs get set up.
