I think there is fear that in a desperate push to get an “impactful” roster player, they will severely overpay.

I don’t think people are against the concept.
I think they will need to do something at the draft, with some combination of picks. They’re fumbling Cyril Leeder’s season ticket maximization plan!

I have a sixth sense that McDavid is going to the USA. Edmonton could wind up with a better overall team with the haul he would provide.
They will get a nice return, agree, that it will eventually happen, likely in 2 seasons, but the thought of McDavid, not winning a cup in Edmonton / Canada after his dedication and loyalty will leave a disappointing feeling for most Canadians., me thinks. Hopefully Staios can turn that fiasco forced on him to help improve your current Sens take another leap, you do have a good nucleus.

My apologies but this is an awful awful line up. You might as well trade Stutzle and Batherson and rebuild if you are planning on rolling out this lineup
It's actually really close to the roster we just rolled last year when we made the playoffs and scored the 8th most goals in the league.

It's our existing forward roster minus Brady (- about 30 goals) but upgrading from Cousins to Debrusk ( +18 goals) and Eller to McMichael (+9 goals).

Green is a systems guy and I think these guys would play the system. But there's also about $3-6M in free cap space with this roster so we could definitely spend a bit more.

It was clear last season that Brady was checked out. Something was clearly off or on his mind, and now we know what.

Honestly, no hard feelings. He wanted out, he let the Sens know, and we recouped some strong assets for him. I think we’ll be okay without him, as we were last season.

I’ll miss Brady from the year before, though. So many legendary moments on our run to the playoffs, so much emotion and clutch goals.
