I'm glad everyone was able to see what Brady Tkachuk is capable of in this tournament.
Too bad we don’t see it in the NHL, where the sens desperately need to win more games

You answered your own question. Marner doesn’t play at all like Iginla did. Brady T’s physicality makes him a lot more similar to Iginla than Marner. How did you come to that conclusion? Physicality-wise yes but not production wise.
Marner is much closer to iginla than Brady will ever be. But I guess by that logic you’d say Reaves is a lot closer to iginla than Marner is too lol

it would be shame if he became the next jeff skinnerToo bad we don’t see it in the NHL, where the sens desperately need to win more games.
Cause I watch the same games as you and Matthews is about as un clutch as it gets. How can you say he's more suited for the playoffs when he's never been there.

That whole tournament the “best goal scorer in the world” didn’t pot a single one even against Finland or Sweden.
Matthews 48pts in 55 games in his playoff career, only one 2nd round appearance and it was a gentleman’s sweep. Would be hard to do worse than that for a former mvp.
Tkachuk is very very hard to play against, gets in opponents heads, has a good shot still, gets in all the dirty areas, is an actual leader. Got 3 goals in the four nations here and almost the clincher to put him at a goal per game while doing lots of other stuff Matthews doesn’t do. I find Matthews very 1 dimensional and when he’s not scoring he’s not doing his part. He had a good game last night and could argue he was the best forward on the American side but even still the guy didn’t score. In a quick tournament like that and not having your captain even score once is a big problem
He shouldn’t be captain at the next four nations, Brady Tkachuk, Matthew Tkachuk or Quinn Hughes should be captain then because you know they’ll bring it.
If Brady Tkachuk is anything like Matthew (big time playoff performer) you’d be crazy not to take that over a 1 dimensional hot and cold goal scorer in a quick 7 game series
Oh no did Marner outperform Brady in a high stakes high pressure head to head game?!?!
one of these is not like the others.Brady Tkachuk, Matthew Tkachuk or Quinn Hughes should be captain
Brady was the US’s best player not Matthews. Matthews wasn’t that noticeable in the tournament until Brady was put on his line.#1 this thread is about Brady vs Marner so I'm not sure why Matthews is even being brought
But since you did #2 Matthews was without question America best player last night, I don't even think that's up for debate.
I watch that dude every night you can't give him the chances Canada did in OT unless your goalie is f***ing magical.
Last night Binner was magical.
I have no issue saying USA Win that OT 9 times out of 10.
It's not Matthews fault they lost he was fantastic.

Overall in the tournament yes, Brady was the best US player. I'm really impressed by him, I always liked how the guy played but he elevated his game big time. In last nights game, I think Matthews was the best US player, he had a really good game except the 1 big major mistake in OT.Brady was the US’s best player not Matthews. Matthews wasn’t that noticeable in the tournament until Brady was put on his line.
Brady has always been on a far worse team. Brady would be better than Marner without a doubt if he was on same team. Also if Tkachuk had Marner feeding him all the time I’m sure he’d be a perennial 40+ goal scorer too like Matthews#1 this thread is about Brady vs Marner so I'm not sure why Matthews is even being brought

Well, it's a good thing Canada didn't scratch him. He came up clutch.
Yes, that 2016 team was a powerhouse with a quarter of the team being rookies and the best non rookie player being van Riemsdyk.Brady has always been on a far worse team. Brady would be better than Marner without a doubt if he was on same team. Also if Tkachuk had Marner feeding him all the time I’m sure he’d be a perennial 40+ goal scorer too like Matthews
Not even up for debate and if anything this tournament sealed any discussions about that. Thought this was Matthews vs Brady Tkachuk. Oops.
also hellebuyck has carried America the whole tournament. He stopped some awfully good Canadian chances too. 3-2 game in OT with high chances on both sides gotta go with Hellebuyck as the POTG for USA and I thought Binnington shoulda been POTG too for Canada but they gave it to McDavid obviously for sealing the tournament for Canada. But doesn't even get that far without binnington doing so good.
No, he would not.Brady has always been on a far worse team. Brady would be better than Marner without a doubt if he was on same team.
