Do I want to trade Brady? Of course not, but none of us really expect him to stick it out with us after missing the playoffs for yet another season. The best time to move him would be before his NMC kicks in on July 1st and we get screwed with him picking his spot.

Fire away.

Not sure what Bruins would offer, but I think he fits perfectly with what they want to be again.

Something like 20 teams will be after him.
I'd think a team with a newly opening window, like NJ perhaps, would make a strong offer.

Marchment, Bourque + for Tkachuk.

We need help on defense so adding Lundqvist I thought about as well but Stars are already short on RD defenseman.

Yes, every team would want him…but realistically there are only a handful that have the assets to make it work. Sens are gonna make sure they get exactly what they want and more for him.

Teams with top prospects, solid 1st and also a top player(s) who can contribute right away. I’d say 25 yrs and under

stars shouldnt be breaking up the only working line they have in dealing marchment- and theres no guarantee Marchment works in Ottawa and maintains his current value at TDL, which is the only reason they would be interested. Bourque has yet to prove he is an NHL player.

If the Stars are including a younger player, they aren’t getting away with not including one of Stankoven or Johnston.

The easy answer is just Robertson assuming Ottawa is prepared to give him whatever Dallas isn’t. On paper, its a lot like the other Tkachuk deal in that they can theoretically get out of a sticky situation not much worse for wear (theoretically, see: Huberdeau).

So you are suggesting that he’ll request a trade from Ottawa because he wants out?

If so when his NMC kicks makes very little difference as any GM trading for him would presumably ask him if he wanted to play there and if not then no deal, in effect letting him choose his destination and affecting his value in any trade.
