yeah you're crazy

Brady is getting SUPER overrated just from the past week of games. Fox is a Norris caliber DMan. Brady is a good winger. It isn't even close.

As a rival fan, I would LOVE the Rangers to do something this stupid.
It's really not that simple. Both are excellent players and probably have comparable trade value, but trades aren't in a vacuum, so it really depends on the makeup of a team as to who they would prefer. As a Flames fan, a few years ago I'd have preferred Tkachuk... now that our d-corps has been gutted, I'd prefer Fox.

yes, it is that simple.

The 25 minute #1 DMan >>> the 18 minute a night top line winger. Every time.

He's not having a great year by his standards.
No kidding. He's the total opposite of the "all the tools, no toolbox" type of guy. Hockey IQ off the charts but given his lack of size or speed or a shot, I don't see him every being a big minute guy in best on best scenarios

That's what he is as Ranger, but nowhere near that in best on best, as we just saw. Small, slow, soft and the lowest ice time D on a shorthanded US team & for good reason

he won a Norris and finishes top 5 every year lol I get he is having a down year, but sheesh

(I can't believe I am defending a Rangers player this much!)

Ya he does, that doesn't change how he looked against the world's best over the last 2 weeks. His incredible IQ can't compensate for all his physical shortcomings, it's just that simple

There wasn't a lot of space. You had the top players on US adding some jam and forecheck. Then you had everybody else struggling, turning, turtling and dumping the puck as if anybody thought they would retrieve the puck first. On the backend, Fox was no different here. When he had space he quickly turn the puck up to a player and got it out of the zone. When he had no space, he was in trouble.

What an awful showing from them. Especially every player from the tri state area.

Guys BTs value is the highest it’ll ever be. It would cost a fortune and a price that most wouldn’t be able to stomach to acquire him. It would be Fox + Shesterkin. Brady just became one of the most valuable players on the planet after this tournament. He’s not for sale unless you’re offering something we simply couldn’t refuse.

I think most people can see. He's exactly the kind of player you want to go into the playoffs with. He's going to be hard as hell to play against.....is going to be in the middle of everything and he's going to contribute on the scoreboard. Just have to get him there.

There are plenty of 'names' around the league running up numbers in the regular season who are going to underwhelm in the postseason. Brady doesn't give you that vibe. If anything you get the complete opposite. That he's going to thrive....if/when he gets there.

Which is why teams are interested in him. As for the Rangers in particular......even if a deal of Fox/Tkachuk came about it wouldn't be smart for the Rangers to do that. Because K'Andre Miller sucks at 5v4. So does Schneider and the rest of the D and they have no prospects developing who have what it takes to run an NHL power play.

But anyway I don't see the Sens moving on from Brady without an imperative to do so and right now the imperative is the end of the 27-28 season when his term ends if he doesn't re-sign. It's not now.

At the draft

To NYR:
Brady Tkachuk

To OTT:
Alexis Lafreniere
Adam Fox
Brennan Othmann
2025 1st
In return for a young star entering his prime at 25, I find it Interesting that the assets you propose are viewed by many Ranger fans as damaged goods....Fox has become slow and is no longer a Norris Trophy player, Laf not having the year everyone expected, Othmann not projecting as a top player and the first is probably not a top 10.

Sens would be crazy to accept that package.

Take out Othmann and Id want Sanderson back with Brady.

If were sending Fox as the carrot, we need Sanderson back.

Fox over Brady
Sanderson over Laf
1st as a good will piece, but maybe a lesser pick in return coming back.

Ok. Haha. Its the internet. I get it.

I was gonna let this one fade but every rection is a bunch of Jokers laughing.

So, let me get this straight.

Fox, Lafrienere, Othmann, + 1st for Tkachuck is wholey agreed upon a ridiculous over payment. With most saying Fox ALONE is worth more than Tkachuk by himself.

So....Lafrienere + 1st (minus Othmann my proposal) PLUS the difference between Fox/Tkachuk isnt worth Sanderson?

All the Jokers unanimously agree that:
Lafrienere + 1st + Fox's differential isnt worth Sanderson?

I mean. Debate the value. Come back with.."Well, we'd need xxx because roster..."

But just straight haha emojies? That many?

Grow up. Its not THAT wild of a proposal.

NHL teams should evaluate players based on what they do in NHL hockey games.

Valuing 4 games of not NHL hockey over 5+ years of NHL hockey in evaluating how good a player is at NHL hockey is certainly one way of looking at things

Incredible assumptions in here that Fox is an easily replaceable player for the Rangers, particularly given what the rest of their blue line looks like. Understand his game has dropped off (along with everyone else in the hockey club) and that 9.5 is a big number for anyone struggling, but the Rangers are measurably bad after this trade even with any proposed Fox replacement.
Note, Adam Fox while struggling has the same amount of points as Brady Tkachuk this year
