Seen lots, including the GAG line.
We had some guys who could defend back in those days.

A Rangers defense corps without Adam Fox would basically be one odd man rush after another.

Maybe they wouldn't be the worst in terms of overall ability, because a few of them can score, but Fox is the only one who can defend at an NHL level.

A prominent Sens board insider has been floating

Laf+Kakko+Lindgren = 9.225M
Tkachuk+JBD= 9.010714

Could there be legs to this? Would both sides do it?
Why on earth would Ottawa trade Tkachuk for such a meh package. Yeah Lafreniere is decent but he's mostly a 60 point. Not exactly a star. Kakko is a 3rd or fourth liner. Lindren doesn't move the needle.

Impressive amount of wrong in one post. Lafreniere is on pace for 66 points with virtually no PP time in his D+5. Not hard to imagine him as a 1PPG in a year or two.

Kakko is a middle six forward, at worst. Arguably top 6 with the way he’s played this year, and he’s another that is only 23.

I would trade anything for B.Tkachuk just simply because it would change the entire culture of the free-floaty country-club Rangers. Tkachuk doesn't even need to be a PPG forward in NY for it to be worth it imo and from Ottawa's perspective it could be a chance to fill out the team more so they can actually make the playoffs.

Maybe so, but I don't think people realize how bad Trouba, Lindgren, and Miller are.

It's certainly one of the worst top 4's in their own zone that I've seen.
Troub + Lind to some extent yes, but not that much KAM

with almost zero PP time. I don’t understand why thats so hard to comprehend

I never understand this argument

if he isnt good enough to get PP time, why should that be thought of as a positive?

Saying he it a ~60 point player right now is factual. May he surpass that this year and beyond? Sure maybe. But facts are facts.

Because it's not a matter of him not being good enough. He's been the Rangers 2nd best forward for some time now and is only improving.

If you polled HFNYR, I don't think you'd find any fans who would want to or be down with trading Laf for Tkachuk, even 1 for 1.

That doesn't mean Ottawa should/would do that trade or that their fans would like it, I'm telling you the perspective from Rangers fans.
