No one is going to forget that all it took was for the Sens to win two games in a row for the Leafs collective fanbase to meteorically implode into seething self hatred and doubt. Pathetic.

We won two games and you losers booed your own team off the ice. Already resigned to your own ill-fated loser stars.

You win ultimately, yet we cheer on our young team with pride and elation for their accomplishment. They took that next step. Brady chants fill the arena.

Like, as if this is how Leafs fans are occupying their time. Thought you guys had another series to focus on? Or are you guys already resigned to losing that one, and you have to bask in your one, small victory to feel any sunshine at all?

This is just so sad. Sure, OP was goaded by a couple of Leafs fans to make this thread, but clearly, the consensus properly recognizes that Brady is the superior player. Unquestionably.
Is it more or less sad than when Sens fans made a thread asking if Stutzle is better than Matthews? Just trying to understand the level of hypocrisy we’re dealing with here before I respond to the rest of your post.

Otherwise, very well written. Personally a little emotional for my taste but you really got your anger across.

Yawn.

We STILL talking about a thread from three years ago in a season where Tim Stutzle outscored Matthews? I mean, at the end of the day, Timmy even outscored Matthews THIS year.

The best ability is availability after all. :sarcasm:

I know that Leafs fans live in the past... but this is pretty ridiculous.

Based on the way Leafs talk about him, Knies should be signed to a hefty $12M extension this summer.

Anyway, I don't think Knies can carry a team. He looks like a good support player playing with two superstars.

Brady has had to carry the load for several years now. Stu looks like he's turning into a superstar talent but they really don't have a capable 3rd player on that line anymore with Giroux aging.

Unpopular opinion… I think Brady Tkatchuk is more overrated than any player in the modern era, both in terms of tangibles and intangibles. The last time he or his team won anything was when he was playing in the U18s. There is no track record of elite performance or elevating teams to wins on or off the ice.

The perception of Brady Tkatchuk is based on draft position, family name (twice over now, father and brother), and the never-ending love affair that hockey pundits have with guys that bring a physical element... regardless of how much actual benefit that physical element actually brings on the ice. It's a poor prioritization of inputs over outputs.

Knies is already scoring on pace with Brady. He's younger, with more potential for growth. I bet on Knies to be the better player when all is said and done.

This was brought about by a couple of leafs fans, that wouldn’t trade Knies straight up for Brady Tkachuk.

So I was challenged to make a poll.

Poster also said wouldn’t trade Knies straight up, for any player on the Sens.

So who does HFB take.

Sens have got to find a win somewhere.... this is a silly thread.

I don't think the gap is huge, but Tkachuk is clearly better, so the voting gap should be huge.

It's weird to compare a complimentary player on one team with someone who is supposed to be a driving force on his (he isn't).

He is.

He is somewhere in between an amazing complimentary player (like Knies) and a bad star player.

I’ll take Knies. More skilled, younger, presumably better contract, not a negative player type when he gets frustrated. Doesn’t push himself into leadership role as a contract demand. I think he can have a similar and possibly better career for less money.

Going forward it's Knies and looks like the Leaf effect is in full swing here.

I love Brady as a player but come on, let's get serious here.
