Player Discussion Brady Tkachuk (LW) - Part XI

He's hurt af and trying out there, but he's not as effective when he's not moving and skating as much.

Having said that, can we change the captain to a centre? He was a beast on the dot against Buffalo along with Giroux and Pinto. Dude won at least 10 faceoffs.
 
We need a 100% healthy Brady for the playoffs. Hopefully, we clinch sooner rather than later so he can get some rest on that hip flexor.

They brought on Chris Johnston during the intermission and he said it’s not serious. He’s day to day but basically said the Sens aren’t worried.

Then again he’s clearly still hurting from Four Nations so who knows how healthy he’ll be when he does come back. I think all we can really deduce is he’ll be in the lineup soon enough, whether he’ll actually be healthy is a whole other discussion.

I'm a little concerned too. I have this gut feeling that he'll miss a game or two in our series opener before returning for game 3. Hope I'm wrong though. On the flip side, I guess it's best that he gets as much rest as possible before the playoffs start. I think when we last faced the Habs, the commentators said he had ZERO hits which is hard to believe.
 
The game has been over for 30 minutes and I can't believe no one bumped this thread to remind us we need a new captain and he can't lead us anywhere. We won't get into his shot volume.

This thread really started dying down as soon as the team turned the corner in December. Funny how that works.
