After another loss lets take a moment to appreciate and praise the Captain which is become an obligation on us now
 
Dirty hit on Zucker and another meltdown in the 3rd while we're losing with that useless fight against Gilbert.Tkachuk really crumbles when the team is losing. Hope he doesn't get suspended.

a 25 year old, who has seen nothing but shit. With an older brother who doesn't go swimming, because he is afraid to drown, because of that cup ring he wears! The kid is trying.

Most of us would lose our mind and do way worse.

An idiot owner (Melnyk) and an idiot GM (Dorion), stripped a team down to the wood. Then thought that 19-21 year olds, would fix it. All the while, the idiot GM, believed his own propaganda and saw himself as a genius talent evaluator and draft genius.

They allowed 4-5, 22-26 year olds to leave in 2017-2019! Severing a critical link, that binds the old with the new. Which is needed on every team. And then proceeded to sign every FA who was clearly finished, or a malcontent.

And then turned to Tkachuk and said, here you go: Lead them to the promised land...

Had I been on the team and 6' 4" and his talent, this would be game 40 of my suspension.

Brady has not got a point in his last 6 games.
I looked back at the 4 previous seasons and he had one 4 game pointless streak in each season.
In his second season he had a 6 game pointless streak.
His longest pointless streak was 8 games in his rookie season 2018-2019.

I predict next game he will get rolling again.

WTF!! Can Brady focus on playing hockey? And playing more than one-speed hockey at that?

What a selfish penalty to take. Killed our momentum and put us down a man in the most crucial game of the season so far.

Not a what you'd expect from an NHL captain. Stützle looked absolutely livid too.

What a reactionary post. That extra penalty was a referee special, nothing more.
And the Sens don't score their 3rd and 5th goals without Brady standing in front of the net driving Swayman crazy.

They’re not in a playoff spot without Brady.
In fact they are nothing without Brady.

It just surprises me that in an incredibly physical game he is the one skilled forwrad on the Sens to continually establish a net presence. The crap he dishes out to the other team's Dmen and goalie benefits the whole Sens team. It would be great if a guy like Batherson ( 6'3" and 205 lbs.) would do that once in a while.

nah Brady is far from the issues with this team. Probably the last player i'm worried about.

I can tell a lot of people here don't remember the days that Ottawa fans were crying for a player like Gary Roberts

Stuztle was probably pissed cause that should not have been an extra penalty

Come on people. It’s not good for our captain to be standing in the penalty box chirping a non star player for 2 minutes straight. He was frequently getting into shoving matches with players who would love an offsetting 2-5 minutes to one of our best players. This isn’t a new thing, it’s been his whole career.

Pointless in 7 games straight now and a few boneheaded penalties that could have lost us points. Sure he had good net presence that aided in a goal, that’s a huge strength of his that’s hard to find.

But his mental game has always and continues to be weak. We need more from him lately. He shouldn’t stop the fiesty play as that helped offset his overall poor performance, but pick his battles after the whistle unless it’s with someone like Pasta.

I’m sure he was given a warning from the refs and didn’t listen, probably the same reason Marchand got an extra two. Reputation and the refs use the extra 2 to try and stop the nonsense. Not excusing the refs not making the right calls all game but Brady needs to control his emotions, especially when we are down a couple goals. This weakness will only be magnified in the playoffs if we sneak in.

I disagree. Brady's strengths will shine in the post season. He will be able to get away with more

I think he’s been much more noticeable in his own end recently. He stays far lower in the defensive zone and wins battles now, instead of waiting for the outlet pass to get on a rush.

His point totals will suffer, but he’s playing a winning style of hockey now.

The goals will still come.

Emotions will always be a fine line with him, it’s a huge part of why he’s so effective. You don’t want to neuter that. He has gotten better but still needs to get smarter in picking his spots, so we’re agreed there.

Brady has also cut down on the fights a lot. Gotta respect that dude is a huge team guy. I actually think the roster is fairly soft outside of Brady and something that will have to improve. Not more fights but in terms of going to the net and battling when other teams are more physical
