With Gardiner having a rebound month in February, I don't see our FO dealing him. I think that the Borg is trying to figure out how long Pesce will be out before finalizing any deal for a defenseman. If he can return in the playoffs, they're IMO going to go a cheaper route, but if not, and Pesce is LTIRed, a Skjei or Dumba may then come into play.

Putative low iq high risk dmen seem to do well in rbas system. So I like acquiring skjea, he's a better fit than edmundson. What I don't like is how it bodes for re signing Hamilton . Otoh they were looking for a top 4 d before Hamilton/pesce went down so IDK. A top four of slavin pesce Hamilton skjea for the next 4 years, looks good no me.

Skjei is a re-do on the Gardiner addition. He is a much better fit for what Rod seems to like. I'd bet Gardiner will be moved at some point this offseason.
