This guy is legit.

He's come into the preseason and is playing with all kinds of poise at both ends.

I suspect Sweeney was worried about RD depth coming into the year but I'd have no problem playing this guy right now and he's only going to get better

Pleased with what I've seen of him in preseason. Should provide some decent depth when injuries start hitting.

Nice pass to Marshy with the air mail, solid in both ends and not afraid to skate with it. Grizz and him were the best pairing tonight.

I am excited about this kid. He just looks GOOD. Maybe he can get Vaakanainen going in the AHL haha

Lyle was great last night and I love his offensive game. Just when you think he’s out of the play or it’s destined to come the other way, he steps up and makes a play with the puck.

I still see a disconnect in his game across all three zones, personally, but I’m glad he’s under contract and should have a good year in Providence. I’d like to see where he’s at in the spring.

FWIW I was impressed- he was so poised you might have thought it was his 100th NHL game, very nice to see. He & Gryz played very well together too.

He was noticeable in a good way. Jack and Brick liked him, and Cassidy said he was "very close" to becoming an NHLer.

Impressive stuff.
