Domi - C+ (because they are using him as a 3c...) it would be a b+ or an A if they used him as a winger but I think he's totally messed up that 3rd line unless they change the lines.
 
Matthews Marner and Nylander will determine whether or not he’s done a good job. He’s given them enough to win at least one round but if the core can’t perform again theres not much any GM or coach can do about it in the present.

They're record is very similar to previous years so I’d hold off on the grades until they’ve played a playoff series.

A couple of years ago I predicted the Leafs would beat Tampa because I felt Marner would be the best player in the series…..he was arguably the worst.

The 2026 pick is top 5, the 2027 pick is top 10 protected.

It's why I'm confused as what happens if the 2026 pick did somehow end up top 5.

It can't simply slide to 2027 because that pick is top 10 protected and if that pick were to be top 10 I assume that slides to 2028.

By 2027/28 they’ll likely be picking in that range so they better hope it gets settled next year.

Things would have to fall apart pretty hard to be picking that high that high that quickly.

Plus Detroit and Buffalo would have to be showing signs of getting bett, and they are just not doing that.
 
Look he did 1 great trade for Carlo .. A+ deal as without a top 4 stud tough big D we were not advancing .. his value picks up HUGE in playoff hockey .. dude is strong as bull and entire league knows it especially Cats .. da trade for Laughton reeks of desperation .. he might not even dress for playoff games .. personally i think you will see Reaves get back in for Cat series and Laughton will be out of lineup .. we need more bangers on da 4th line and we need da biggest COP on da ice so Cats know not to even think of screwing with Matty

No one can predict what those two teams will become other than the status quo. Boston currently has three 1st round picks in the next two years so they’ll likely be back in the playoff hunt, so it’s not inconceivable the Leafs miss.

Reaves won’t play a game before the playoffs so I can’t imagine they’d consider him even if they play Florida not to mention he wouldn’t do anything positive.

I disagree I think we can predict what Buffalo will be, because they've been what they will be for nearly 14 years

I Don't see any way Reaves plays above a healthy Laughton

We will see .. da way Laughton played against Cats did not help his cause .. basically he could not keep up to pace of play on LW .. no way he plays over Holmberg for sure as we can't lose his forecheck/speed (he is in) .. Patch will play too .. don't see Jankrok playing either as he does nothing to impact games .. it is either Laughton or Reave bottom line .. maybe Laughton starts game 1 BUT i he plays like Wednesday night then he will get pulled .. Kampf is other forward who may get moved out .. anywho guys at major risk are Jarnkrok Kampf and Laughton

This is precisely what I saw as well. Nothing I saw with Laughton against Florida inspires any confidence he's gonna be able to keep pace in a 7 game series, in fact, you can see a couple bad GA's happening with this guy getting caught out of position. Holmberg really would be the better option - and believe me, I am no Holmberg guy.
