It could be July 7th and I still wouldn't be worried about Marchand re-signing.

None of us will be worried about it on July 7th, he'll be under contract to someone on July 1st.

I'm not sure why people assume he's going to do what Bergeron did.

I’m guessing they as in ownership want him part of organization

I asked someone about this who’s got pretty good knowledge on this and they said Z loves his life and knows a GM is 24:7 365 job (one of your players gets in serious trouble and you are on vacation in Australia in late July you gotta drop everything and come home)

They doubt he’s interested as GM

Being a consultant is the dream job for many as long as checks don’t bounce
