There are more Bruins fans than Leafs fans in Nova Scotia. Matter of fact TV38 was on the cable lineup in Nova Scotia back in the day and all 4 Boston teams have brought their championship trophies to Halifax, due to the number of fans there.

Went to visit my son in Truro a few years ago.
Made visits to Halifax and also PEI .
Habs Bruins and Penguins primarily fanwise to what lids people were wearing or according to apparel at sport stores.
Didn't notice any figLeaf stuff as much.

I am fine with it because he has earned the right to retire a Bruin.That said though, he is there best chip towards speeding the teams recovery along.

Marchand, in a package to Washington and keep adding until they include Leonard.

Obviously extremely unlikely to happen, but TBH, how many more kicks at the cup is Ovi going to get?

Everybody waxing nostalgia about Brad is why we can’t have nice things.

I absolutely love him; always have. But, this is a machine. A corporation. The goal is, or at least should be, to do whatever it takes to earn a return (SC) for the stockholders (us fans).

If moving Brad can advance that chance considerably, then you do it.

Sadly, we have a bumbling and incompetent GM, in whom I have very little faith to make a good deal.

Karlsson instead of Carlo would make a big difference for our offense, as well as the PP.

Marchand plays with buddy Crosby. Pens get rid of Karlsson contract. Lots of money for a guy that clearly hasn't helped the team to get better.

If I'm packaging Marchand with Carlo I'm coming away with assets for years down the road. Im not trying to salvage a playoff bid for this year when arguably it makes the Bruins worse, as that leaves just Pasta up front with any offensive creativity at all. That's just Ugly!

I guess it would give them more ping pong balls this year but dam that salary.

I agree.They'd probably be idiots to do it, unless they thought Marchand could guarantee them a cup and they like Poitras a lot. Poitras is only nine months older than Leonard, and imagine how he would look in the Beanpot right now. Leonard is better, but when you throw in Marchand the trade doesn't look that crazy.

Just threw this out there. Someone asked why so I had to respond.

Karlsson's salary is $10 mil as Sharks retained part of it. He's a true star player. Next season he will pair with a healthy Lindholm. Lysell will be up to form the Swede Wing of the Bruins along with Lindholm ll. They will all be better for it. Swayman will be back in form and excellent free agent signings will make the B's contenders again.
