I love Marchand and always will. I would be more than fine with shopping him at the deadline and getting a prospect + 1st back.

A contending team would drool at the thought of adding him.
Perfectly said and I think if he is moved it'll be after the 4nations and closer to deadline. I dont see Sweeney moving him before or during the tournament

Ozzy to yourself a favor and don't listen to those two tools, your better than that. I do not and no one else should take advice from Felger and Mazz, but I am all on board with moving Marchand, it is time.
I’m not taking advice from them. I simply find it entertaining from time to time. They’re not always wrong.

A GM who won't do what is best for the franchise and his bosses because of sentimentality should be fired. You don't not improve your team because a player "earned" some mythical "right". You contend for championships. That's the job. That's what you are hired to do. You don't let a player decide if he wants to be traded or not. I feel the same way with players. If you are a UFA you do what is best for yourself. If that's staying where you are comfortable and happy, cool. If that's going somewhere for more $ or a better chance to win.. that's fine too.

You can give the player a jersey retirement ceremony in the future. But if you have a chance to get a future cornerstone piece for 2 or 3 months of a player then you'd be crazy not to do it.

Brad is no better a player or legend of his team than Paul Pierce was to the C's. But Ainge made a great trade dealing Pierce and you see the fruits of it now.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum for the remaining years of Pierce and Garnett was what was best for the teams and the fans.

Listening to Felger and Mazz today and they feel like Marchand is a big part of the problem with the team. I think we should take the best offer for him no matter team or position of the player/players in the deal and move forward.
Maybe. I don't know what is ailing the Bruins overall.

However, Felger and "Mazz" are two baboons that know shit about anything. I'd bet good money they have velcro on their shoes -- what with the complexities of tying shoelaces and all.

I think that's right. I think you have a responsibility to do everything possible to treat those players who have been so pivotal to a team with as much respect and tact as you can during any consideration of moves. However, putting a block on moving any player due to sentimentality is not usually a winning strategy.

Bang on !

LOL. So we need a guide on when you care about what the media says and when you don't. If you care just once on one topic then you do care. There is no gray area here.

I think you're being dense. He's specifically talking about the trade rumors that are out in the media right now - he doesn't care about that. He didn't like the false rumors of him and Pasta not getting along so he called it out.

Right. He is selectively caring to not caring. Which means he does care.
