Player Discussion Brad Marchand XI - Marching forward we go

Brad was very good to great most of December but has really cooled 1 goal in last 15 games.

Not sure if he’s tired or injured but off a bit.

He was -11 over 5 games but has bounced back last 2 weeks. There was the story with Pasta and the OT/SO benching at Ottawa

I’m definitely not dealing him but curious to see how last 31 games go

As a Bruins fan I do not want him playing in 4 Nations

He needs to recharge

Exhibition or not it’s a chance to represent his country and play with the best players in the world. This Bruins team isn’t going anywhere - I have no issue with him playing in this tourney. Hope he enjoys it.

Agreed he should recharge but he won't. EL and Chucky shouldn't play either ...both nursing injuries but they will ...not a fan of this 4 Nations sideshow

Pregnant Waitress Serves Brad Marchand, Sees Note on Check, and Bursts into Tears. The story began when a waitress, who chose to remain anonymous, found herself serving Brad Marchand, the renowned Boston Bruins forward, during a routine shift. Little did she know, this encounter would soon become a moment she would cherish forever.

Those are fake stories. They’re all over Facebook. Saw the same one with McDavid a few days ago, lol.

It just strikes me as the height of irony that the absurd level of misfeasance committed by a mediocre former player and horrible general manager such as Sweeney would lead to a consummate Bruins player like Brad to have to be traded at the end of his career.

I don't think irony is the word I would use. You are right on with misfeasance or even Malfeasance though imo.

What's more i get the impression that Brad is not that happy, and could be entertaining leaving permanently. Sweeney is floating stuff through Conroy and others; so things might be pretty far gone. God knows the Bruins' situation is not good, and Marchand knows that better than most.

i love the guy he’s an All timer ~ great to see two snipes in 2 games

However, he’s not in control. He’s back to the 23 year old antics

It was like watching the guy from Providence or early out of control Brad

On ice he’s morphed back to the guy who at any time could go over the edge. He’s reaching, he’s frustrated but if he’s not in control it bleeds down

It goes beyond the dumb penalties ~ Winnipeg players saw what me and my buddy did

I am kind of surprised but the pressure seems to have him trying to play like the 26 year old pre star Brad, but he’s 36 with a HOF career

He’s still good to very good but I admit I don’t like some of his game right now and it doesn’t have a lot to do with his skill

"I'm not really worried about what is said in the media". From the man two weeks ago went on a 3.5 minute rant calling for someones job.

He definitely is not in control.

Pretty significant difference between the media speculating at trade possibilities and some guy claiming that he knows Pastrnak refuses to play with Marchand.

I love Marchand and always will. I would be more than fine with shopping him at the deadline and getting a prospect + 1st back.

A contending team would drool at the thought of adding him.

It has to be on the table. I love Brad and have over the year, too, but this team needs a serious re-tool and you have to move players to make that happen, especially ones with value. Brad has a lof of value.

Welcome to the board.

I will be PISSED if Brad gets traded unless HE wants to be.
How would you feel if we didn't trade him (because HE didn't want to be...) and then he goes and signs with a team like Dallas or Colorado over the summer for $7+mil/yr?

In my opinion, if Brad WANTS to be a Bruin for the remainder of his career, he should be signing an extension before the deadline. Otherwise all bets are off. He's a big boy, and knows how the business end of this game operates...
