Subban should have been suspended as well, there is no logic there. Should have been 1 or 2 games.

Where’s the logic in thinking this wasn’t a slewfoot? Your screen shot is right before Marchand sweeps his leg and pushes him over it.

There is almost never "any logic there." This league, its ownership, its commissioner, its "Department of Player Safety" and "Supplemental Discipline" is shit.

As with the Blackhawks thing, they don't know, and they don't care.

I've really come down on this side of things much more in recent years. I used to think, in terms of refs and bad calls, everyone gets them, you have to play through them, and stuff more or less evens out. I also thought officiating in the NHL is a damn difficult, thankless job.

I still believe all of that, but am more and more incensed by routinely awful officiating, shmuck ownership and scandalously inept, if not a brazenly cynical "league office."

Yea no doubt.Marchand getting suspended does not shock me but Subban getting away with it steady does .More to that cause he has done it blatantly a few times .Parros a former NHL guys sees what we do. Anyways Marchand should not appeal it because it's Wings, Preds, TB shorthanded. Bruins will need him on West Coast trip more.

Absolutely ridiculous for DoPS to suspend Brad 3 games for that when it completely overlooks the actions of others and/or gives lesser suspensions for more egregious actions. Two games absolute max should have been given to Brad. Do McDavid or Ovechkin get 3 games if they do the exact thing as Marchy? Of course not. Brad is the Rodney Dangerfield of the NHL. DoPS continues to be complete and utter garbage. Embarrassingly inconsistent.
