The guy is 37. He's doing what he can, with an aging, failing body that he has to get put back together every summer.

He's a Hall of Famer and a great Bruin, but he just doesn't have anymore gas left in the tank.

I think he could get 4+ had he kept his play up from last year. In fact, those numbers were mentioned for him in here a few times last year. (Frederic) - $5M will be on the high side, but there have been some weird deals signed. I always bank on guys getting more than they should.

The Bruins extended Coyle years ago at 5.25 coming off a 37 point season.

Why extend him right now he looks done. Better we flip him at the deadline and then if he wants to come back on a cheap deal next year as a PK role player maybe. Only maybe.
