BOYCOTT THE SABRES

Eh, there was still such a drunken party culture about tailgating that drew people even when the Bills were laughably bad. The Sabres? Not so much.

While football of any sort is a magnet for that kind of behavior Bills Mafia was birthed near the nadir of their awfulness.

I'll say it if no one else will: LET THIS TEAM DIE.

I truly do not CARE if this team stays here any more. That is how thoroughly Terry Pegula has DESTROYED hockey in Buffalo. And this comes from a person who started going with my dad to games at the Aud, then went to games on my own.

This team will NOT improve unless Pegula sells the team OR HE DIES.

The fact that this is even a conversation is depressing.
This man has selfishly hoarded this civic treasure for his own impulses and has run it into the ground. He refuses to do the one thing that the entire hockey world unanimously sees as the only way to fix it.

I’ve loved hockey since around ‘94. I cheered for the Sabres because they were the local team. I wanted success for them. At the same time, I never hated any teams. Even at our highest levels of intensity with our rivals. I always found something enjoyable about each team. I couldn’t really hate another team for beating our team. That’s the point of competition, right? One wins, one loses.

I have grown to HATE this organization and what it has become. I don’t want them to win, because that’s further “evidence” to Terry he should stick with this current structure and management team, because it’s very obvious that there are no standards of winning that take priority over the owner getting his way.

Terry has ruined the charm of the team and its history. The team is a joke. The feelings I have against this team goes far beyond the indifference I feel about the players. They just participate in the sport I love. I’m not going to hold anything against them.

My support for this organization is dead, and while I will still participate on the boards, it will be from more of a “observational” hockey fan viewpoint than coming from one of a fan of the team.

100% get that, and I'm the same way. I followed the Bruins first, my hometown team, and picked up the Sabres soon after. I got into hockey in the early 90s, and both teams were similar to each other. Blue collar, tough, hard hitting, and even played in cool old arenas with lots of ugly yellow paint. Loved watching Mogilny fly down the ice. Hasek became my favorite goalie. At the end of the day we're all just spectators watching for our own enjoyment and has zero bearing on who wins while I watch from home. The chips will fall where they will.

Just really sad seeing the current state of this franchise, recalling how fun they were to watch in the 90s, and looked like they were getting back on track after the 05 lockout after the whole Rigas mess. I would have never imagined things would get this bad back then but here we are. And it sucks. So much potential squandered

How do you think we fans from the beginning of the franchise feel?
This owner has turned this organization into absolute shit, and a laughing stock in the league.

I'm sure it absolutely sucks for you guys, the only way this gets better is without TP....man just don't say that in the bathroom.

Adams' "palm trees" comment highlights how out to lunch these guys are. Edmonton and Winnipeg are small market, cold climate cities and have the Canadian dollar working against them, yet still built winners. He's full of shit. Pegula's reputation around the league has to be 32 out of 32 among players.

I’m sure the Scouts, Rockies, Barons and Golden Seals still have a better reputation.
