Spooner is the real deal, but I don't think he'll make the team right away. I expect him to get a few games in with the big club at some point this season though.

Ouch. What is your beef with Knight. He is a good prospect from what I see he is just banged up from the way he plays, hard nosed. Might take him a little extra to get where he needs to be.

No beef with him, just with those who portrayed him as something he's not. He will probably eventually make the NHL as a grinder.

I don't know if it was said elsewhere on the board here but Bob Mackenzie mentioned that the "10 games rule" for underage juniors will be the "6 game rule" in this shortened season. Specifically said that that underage players can play 5 games without burning a year on their ELC. As soon as they play their 6th game, it will start counting.

I notice a lack of Krug in this camp. I know he hasn't been playing top notch hockey in the AHL as of yet, but he was a prediction from most in the other thread.

I said then that I figured Bartkowski had the best chance of being in Boston (as an alternate) out of the crew in RI, and I may be right... It seems Johnson and Hamilton will both be on the opening lineup top-six though.

Glad to see Warsofsky get the invite hopefully he can stick.

Warsofsky was one of favorite players at BU but last year during a game I sat infront of his cousin apparently and he was the most annoying ****ing person in history. "YA HE WAS A BEAST AT MAAAAAHSFIELD HIGH SCHOOL. THE GM OF THE BRUINS SAID HES GOOD ENOUGH TO MAKE THE TEAM RIGHT NOW BUT HE SENT HIM TO PROVIDENCE TO WORK ON HIS GAME."**

I wanted to turn around and punch him in the face.

**Entire quote is said in Marc Bertrand's mocking caller voice.

I'll keep saying it til it happens, Spooner is going to make it impossible not to play him.

That's what Lucic did. It's definitely a possibility, but given Spooner's skillset, I don't see him as a third line center. So, maybe he makes the team and he starts out as a wing ala Seguin?!?!? Kid is fun to watch, that's for sure.

I know Tardif has scored at a pretty impressive rate... But is he really a realistic option? I don't know much about him, other than his current expectation as career AHLer.

I have no idea about Tardif, other than, as I said earlier, he seems to like to get his nose dirty in front of the net and gets some goals as a result. It seems like he would need to bring a little more to the table than that, like PK ability, which I'm not sure if he has. Anyone?

If we play Buffalo opening night im going to assume macdermid plays over borque with the absence of Caron; and Mcquaids toughness.

I am not sure teams will be willing to throw away games by dressing guys like Scott this season.

I think he will be dressed (to play, hehehe) mostly after something happens.

The Bruins should dress their best guys regardless of the opponent.

I would not mind seeing Macdermid make this club to be honest. Having him play some sheltered 3rd/4th line minutes wouldn't hurt. I don't think Bourque offers anything. I think Spooner should play 20:00 a night in every situation in the AHL. We need to find out if he is top 6 material because we will need to replace Nathan Horton in 2013/14.

Grinder?!?!

You clearly have not watched this kid play hockey

This very website has him projected to be a 3rd line checking forward. My question to you; have YOU watched him play hockey?

I hate to agree with KTR, but he's right. Knight has been hyped up to be the next great thing in Boston but he has never been much more than a hard-working checking forward. It's not a knock on him, it's just calling him what he is.
