This isn't the Bruins of old. They aren't a tough team to play against anymore.

Long gone are the days of Chara, Lucic, McQuaid, Thornton etc etc.

They are actually still one of the more physical teams in the league this season but the league standard bar for physical play is quite low now. They haven’t been the big bad bruins for like a decade now almost and been mostly just expired rep since Covid.

The leafs no matter what version bruins are tend to make them look better and tougher then they are though.
