Seem like a 3C and a partner for Rielly are the biggest holes to fill.

I'd target Ryan McLeod for the 3C spot. Buffalo is a mess and may be willing to move off of him. He would provide some much needed speed and is a big body

For Mo's partner I would go hard after Connor Murphy. Steady presence who would add another physical piece to our improved back-end.

Not much time for this, puck drop is less than 3 hours.

Excited about this one with Matthews return, hope they don’t look lacklustre and play worse because Matthews is back. One thing I would put money on is that Nylander will play very well today. His last couple games he’s not been good and has looked lazy. But something about playing Boston and Pasta that he just shows up.

I don’t understand what the team is thinking bringing him back unless he is 200% completely healed. Good to see him back but do we want his first game back against Boston?
It'd be kinda funny if he drops a hat trick then goes back to chilling on IR after. f*** up the Bruins then rest

Think they do that because it causes the least disruption down the lineup.
I guess they could switch Marner and Nylander.

I don't have a problem with that tonight. Bruins might be so focused on that line, they forget about our 3rd line which has been fairly hot lately.

Isn't this a game you want to dress Reaves for?

No. f*** that.

It's time to get over this "Big Bad Bruins" thing. Chara and Lucic are gone. They're not some badass team anymore.

The Leafs were obsessed with physicality in Game One of last year's polayoffs, and while they got some nice hits in, they lost 5-1. When they played the Bruins like an ordinary opponent later in the series, they won Games Five and Six pretty easily.

TOR is the better team. Just play hockey and get the win. Don't let Marchand's antics throw you off or be intimidated.

This isn't the Bruins of old. They aren't a tough team to play against anymore.

Long gone are the days of Chara, Lucic, McQuaid, Thornton etc etc.

Which is an odd turn of events as the MO on Nylander used to be he would never show up against any team that played physical.

That he is just coming back to do everything he can to go to the four nations. That is NOT why he is coming back. He is coming back to help his team the Toronto Maple Leafs
It’s a pretty huge stretch to think tonight has anything to do with 4 Nations 6 weeks from now. That’s absurd.

I guess we’d have to go way back if that’s the case, because past 2-3 years when playing ‘physical’ teams in the playoffs he’s been the beast of our core 4

Lol people with their narratives...

*matthews misses games* " he's selfish" "he's soft and not captain material!!"

*matthews is ready to play* " he's only doing this for the FOUR Nations tournament!!.."

some people will say anything to make Matthew look selfish. it tells me more about themselves

Yeah, I don't get this, either. Maybe I've missed something, but is there something AM said to indicate that playing in the 4 Nations is paramount to his consciousness and well being over anything else?

Night isn’t starting off well so far , Browns stink.
If Pit wins tonight they get the Texans no?

I feel like that is a good matchup for them.

Sucks it's on the road but selfishly it keeps the Bengals out who I believe is a bad matchup with the Bills
