The first line has excellent chemistry, they form a compact unit. It serves as a prime example that it's not the top center, but the chemistry of three great players that is more important.
There needs to be a better winger to Sillinger and Kent Johnson. I like Olivier a lot, but he's not the kind of guy who can use Kent's passing on a regular basis, this is a reason why that line isn't dangerous. I hope Chinakhov comes back soon.
Mateychuk will be an excellent defenseman. He seems to have the top 4 rotating very well here, now the question of what to do with Severson needs to be solved.
I think nobody needs to comment Zach.
We can criticize Jarmo, but his picks of Johnson, Voronkov, Marchenko, Mateychuk, Werenski, also Olivier, and even Provorov trades have proven to be excellent. Because this season Ivan is playing great.
Don Waddell did two important things, he got a great coach and we finally have a GM who is doing everything he can to make sure there is a winning culture on the team, not just talking about it. It was our the biggest problem.
