Considering the injuries to Woll, Nylander and Matthews during the series, the Leafs had done a remarkable job of nearly pulling off the series upset. Surely they won't have that kind of bad luck with injuries next year, so it's probably a good idea to sign Marner to an 8-year $96 million contract ....you know, just to be safe.
