I celebrate enough.

Again where were you guys when I was positive about the sens and the goalies were letting us down.

Oh yaaaaaa. You were saying “same old sens defensive breakdowns! We give up scoring chances!

When we’re giving up like the 4th least scoring chances in the whole league lol. Please. I’ll be happy when I think I should be. And pissed when I think i should be.

I would hope my life stays the same. I don’t plan on ever stressing about day to day bs

Please tell me how a grown-ass adult in this day and age have so much privilege with no stress attached?

If it's rich parents I'd rather not know as I might have to block you forever. :sarcasm:

Is having 20ish easier games scheduling-wise worth the gauntlet of death we're going through right now? Don't think so.
Our record is decent since it started at least.
8-5-1 since the road trip began?

I mean we aren’t billionaires.

I think some here simply have a hard time separating “posting about a hockey game while it’s going on” and how life is actually going lol.

How pissed I am at pinto missing 4 grade A chances has basically nothing to do with how I feel about anything else going on in my life.

Guys, let fans be the way they wanna be. I enjoy both positive and negative posts. Especially in a GDT.

Real ones know man.

Also real ones know what I do for the reverse jinx. I make myself vulnerable to all these insults just so you can all enjoy a Sens win.

Thankless job.
Nah, you're just hedging. If they win you're happy. If they lose, you get to shit on everyone, which apparently makes you happy.

I just finished the game

That was the most simultaneously frustrating and exciting game I have ever seen

I’m not sure I can survive playoffs this year, I’m a lot older than last time we were in the post-season
Ya, that OT was nerve racking. They were on the verge of falling off the cliff a few times.

Anyhow, they won. Now lets hope Montreal, Detroit & CBJ lose.

I have no idea how a team accepts that kind of scheduling. Almost every weekend is a back to back WITH travel. How is that even allowed?
I think the 4 Nations tournament is causing some of the havoc. TML fans were complaining when their team had b2b four weekends in a row recently. It's not only the Sens that have a weird schedule this season. What made it worse for the Sens was the WJC in Ottawa which added to the scheduling woes.

How many teams have these short back to backs like we did out West and again this weekend?

Travel. Less than 24 hours between game starts. This is the second obvious one.

It just seems like such a terrible idea and yeah it's probably 4 nations.

I am no “so priviliedged”. But maybe more privileged than your current idea of me with many problems in my life.

This is a discussion board. There is no drama. I am a pessimistic sports fan. That is all there is to it.

I cheer for the sens. The Minnesota Vikings. The New York Knicks. The Los Angeles angels and Internazionale (if you know soccer). My sports teams have never given me much to be happy about.

If you don’t like my posting. Block me.

I have had discussions with hundreds of posters here now going on a decade. They’ve dealt with my pessimism and the stupid shit I say and I’ve dealt with the stupid shit they’ve said. Cest la vie.

Maybe you’re not cut out for the cut throat “condescending” mean hockey discussion board life.
Jeeez, you picked a lot of losing teams.

I watch the NFL, but I just go with who's hottest. Same with the NBA.

Just a word of advice. E-mail the Vikings and tell them not to re-sign Darnold. He had a great regular season but he is not that upper-tier playoff breaker type of quarterback.

I think that was due more to World Juniors and now cramming in games before 4 Nations. Unclear why tomorrow's game is another afternoon game, must be something going on in Jersey arena tomorrow night.

As someone who was a doomer once Ullmark was injured, I'm ready to believe in this team again, despite being fooled in past seasons.

Leevi's play has been the stabilizing influence in goal we've been missing and it came out of just typical development. Normally I'd say once Ullmark's back you gotta send the kid down to get some reps and take the bet in Belleville but I think that's now a really hard sell. He's obviously NHL ready, and has outplayed Forsberg for the backup role IMO.

I just dunno what you do with Forsberg. He's shown flashes but hasn't been consistent enough. The team could just carry all three I guess but I suspect if you waive Forsberg someone will claim him given he's expiring. And Ullmark's injury situation would make me hesitant to waive or trade him...

Staois has a tough decision around all this but I imagine it's a refreshingly good problem to have.
Forsberg was drafted 14 years ago and played 174 NHL games over 10 seasons so far. Hard to imagine he'll all of the sudden somehow figure it out and put it all together.

Nobody is claiming Forsberg. We can bury him in the AHL without a problem, I think.

Thanks god for Stutzle and Giroux and our role players we didn't f***ing lose this game

But will also like to give a big f*** to Batherson and Norris

That fifth goal by Boston is happening way too much this season. Whether it’s 5on5 or the PK. Our coverage in front of our goalie is horrendous and needs to be rectified. Way too many tap ins in front of our goalie.

They won’t be signing him

I wish.

I wasn’t shitting in everyone when we were playing well and the goalies were letting us down? I was bringing up stats to show we were playing well to everyone saying negative stuff.

My assessment of a game doesn’t change from when it’s 5-3 and if we score in the dying moments to tie it. The game is the game.
In your head we were immature, outplayed and shit.

Meanwhile, maturity is not giving up till last whistle, despite being down two late, we out shot them, out chanced them.

Your schtick is so lame.

Still have a hard time believing we scored 2 in 3 minutes with an empty net to tie, then won.

Also, giroux on the tying goal made such a sweet subtle head move towards chabot before feeding norris. How beautiful. Helped that swayman was swiss cheese, but still

Goalies are impossible to find right now.

I wouldn't exactly bet money on it, but if I'm Steve Staios and someone said to me that Burrowsaurus could never post on Hfboards again if Forsberg is claimed, I'm not sure I'm comfortable enough in him clearing to to risk the board losing him.

It isn't the goals that impressed me as much as the players not quitting and pushing through extremely long shifts to beat the Bruins to the pucks, or disrupt empty net chances.

They actually played high motor hockey like it was or die. Which is something in the past that people wondered if this group actually had in them..
