They scored early so they think they’re the globetrotters. Bruins just got physical and we absolutely crumbled.

Also we don’t have the offensive ability to score in breakaways so that doesn’t help

If they had such skill we would score on more breakaways
2 goals against had nothing too do with physical play from bruins. It's really just making bad decisions in the ozone wnd bad coverage on the two goals. We still owning the bruins they just scored on there two really only opportunties.

Somw guys have to step up for sure, Sanderson pairing in D and the Norris line need to produce at some point...

How the hell is this game tied 2-2-?

It’s the focus on defensive details.

You’re at the point and the last guy back? Put the puck in deep.

You’re on the PK? Not all 4 players on the same guy.

Defensemen pinch in the play? A forward must cover.

We are losing this game on poor defensive structure and coverage.
The breakaway happens. Boston gave up a breakaway too.

Pasta I mean. Leevi should have stopped it.

And we gave them the pp goal. Not a great defensive period. Not a terrible one. The problem is the physicality. Pinto and Norris needed to make this 3-0 but they’re not as good as people think they are.

I watched Arsenal go from up 2-0 to tying 2-2 today and this is reopening that very fresh wound

They legit ran over us ever since the second goal.

We were playing shit scared. And the two opportunities we did have fell to Norris and pinto. Doesn’t matter who they fell too we probably weren’t scoring

We had guys back, the issue was both Cousins and Stü rushing at geekie who Zub had covered leaving Pasta wide open.
Sure. And Levi should have had that shot.

But Sanderson needs to do more with the puck. He had time. But rifling the puck short side is seen by Sanderson as ultra low risk. But then he gets pinned behind the net. We were totally in control until he touches the puck.

Lazy backcheck by Sanderson on the most dangerous Bruins player after he inexplicably decided to play deep behind their net with 40 seconds to go... Just encapsulates his regression this year.
We had three guys back, pasta wasn't Sanderson's responsibility there, that goal is on Cousins who just leaves his spot to chase the puck.

HNIC content is like made for babyboomers, such a boring content how do you entertain pepole with by making content like this? For sure 90% of pepole just get off TV in intermission cause it'just crapshit for 20 min.

Stu gets a lot of criticism for trying to do too much, but its also incredible what he does with what he is given.
Yes, exactly! He really does need some help. He also needs to be a bit more selfish shooting wise. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that at times, he tries to do too much and he could be more selective about that. I would never want to stymie his overall play-making ability by restraining him, not having him do what he does best. It's also see it as a player maturity thing, and credit him with being much improved there, recognizing time of game issues. I'll happily trade an occasional gaff from doing too much for all he creativity and play-making he brings, but we can't deny that gaffs will occasionally happen.

It was a bad pinch, sure, but we were in good shape even after the turn over, he's the least of the problems on that goal

I mean why is nobody covering and when they decide to do nobody communicates and Pasta ends up all alone

Not saying Sandy’s play was great but thats basic hockey

After 2 games of fantastic defensive play. Almost 2 straight shutouts. Tough breakdowns, but they can play stifling defense.

Only 1 goal, 1 EN goal over those 2 games though. Can they play the right way defensively and produce offense?
