Bruins are a Stanley cup contending team, we arent there yet, as we all know.. The way the bruins pass, tape to tape, is pretty awesome...61 games to go... expect a block buster trade soon to get some scorers...

It's unsettling how slow and unorganized this team looks coming out of their own zone. It's been an issue all year but against a good defense it really gets exposed. Blind passes to empty space, guys skating right into traps, even a pass directly on net... just horrendous.

The second pair of Hainsey/Bellemore really puts themselves in a lot of bad spots with their inability to breakout.

And losing Semin on top of Skinner, the number of guys who can create their own time and space to do something productive coming out of the zone dwindles even more.

Maybe time to put someone with a bit more scoring pop with Gerbe and Staal. Seems like they are generating some stuff, and could use one more guy doing some good things offensively to start getting points.

Tonight we saw an impeccable rendition of How to Squander a Power Play presented by the Carolina Hurricanes. That might have been their finest yet. Seriously, dump and chase on a 5-on-3? And who the hell was it that made a pass that looked more like a shot at Cam? Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.

But I think what really cost them the game was the fact that the guy who created the GDT has what could be construed as a pro-Bruins avatar. It did not dawn on me until sometime in the second period, and I could not change it from what I was told were Glen Wesley's seats. I've got the GDT for Friday's game against these same Bruins, so I will find another one by then.
