The ONLY way the Knights would even think about trading Eichel is if he says no to an extension. That can't happen until after 7/1. At that point there really is nothing from Boston that would make sense for Vegas.

I mean, they can't do a deal until 7/1 but they can certainly do a vibe check before 7/1.

i don't know enough about boston prospects or vegas needs, but that seems logical. gives vegas a bunch of cheap guys with upside & cap space for other moves. the cheap guys with upside could be shipped off in other trades. boston accelerates the retool and doesn't need to rely on developing these pieces to supplement pasta, swayman & mcavoy.

A few weeks ago that would have been a sure thing but maybe not now. Hagens has been sliding as much as Brady Martin has been rising in a lot of Mock Drafts.

I wouldn't move 7 for Barzal at this point....
but I've seen the "The B's didn't think he was worth 15 at the time so..."

That's faulty reasoning. When the player is picked he's a prospect with unknown upside and unknown probability. 24 teams passed on David Pastrnak. Does that mean those teams wouldn't trade a 1st rd pick higher than 25 in this draft for him?

I disagree.

Especially in this years draft.

Barzal has been inconsistent at times but he is still a great top six player who has established himself in the league. 7th overall is magic beans.
