Bruins sign Fabbro and then trade 7OA+ for Barzal...
Reunite the BWC Bruins on the Boston Bruins.
Fabbro is going to re-up with Columbus. 4 or 5 year deal is in the works.

Great move for them.Fabbro is going to re-up with Columbus. 4 or 5 year deal is in the works.
Why is there a bad association with Boston and Barzal? He would be a 1C PPG playing with Pasta and Lindholm/Zacha at 28 locked up at a good number for 6 more years.I bet they tried... but Sweeney said = "Never bring that name up in front of me". Lol
The Bruins don't want to be associated with Barzal imo. Imagine after acquisition - if he is injury prone the rest of the way?
Darche met with both Barzal and Horvat and toldBarzal for 7 hmm.
Pasta-Barzal. Thats a great duo.
Make that trade and get Marchand back and your in the playoffs.
I think it'll depend if teams view him as a winger or center. I expect wingers to go later than many are acknowledging. Teams historically just strongly prefer centers and dmen in the top 10.I mean is there really that much of a chance that Hagens slips to 7th?
Did not know this.Darche met with both Barzal and Horvat and told
Them they wouldn’t be traded. Now it’s a business but it probably doesn’t bode too well with the rest of the players if a brand new first time GM went back on his word and did this.
They're allowed to, but if they can better supplement their current start players, then why not look at that option too?So they aren’t allowed to draft future star players?
It's possible. Rumours are Utah likes Brady Martin and Chicago will choose one of Desnoyers or Frondell, Then Nashville will do the same with whichever Chicago doesn't take. Philly might take Hagens at 7 thoughI mean is there really that much of a chance that Hagens slips to 7th?
Because they clearly aren't close to winning and it's a great way to stay mid (the canucks special)They're allowed to, but if they can better supplement their current start players, then why not look at that option too?

I know teams don't think like this but the good thing about a Barzal for Hagan swap would be Islanders probably would do much worse next season, finish lower and get a nice pick to add to their collection of higher end ELCs which helps them hopefully in the long run. It also allows for the ability to trade Pageau and Lee for some nice returns(although I am guessing we resign Lee)Agreed on this front. I think Barzal for 7OA is a good deal for both teams - but this is assuming Hagens is there - which I'm not sure of. Rumor is Flyers like Jake O'Brien so a small trade-down is also possible for a 3rd or something, if Islanders really want to go for 2 top 10 picks. I'd like the Flyers to do something similiar also - Tippett + both 1st for a pick in the top 10 to grab another C prospect like McQueen would also be great, but for whatever reason they seem to like him too much.
Yes, I asked if there was anything. To me it looks like its just a made up thing in your head. They can go get a 1C that would fit with Pasta.I don't think you get it
2015 draft .... still haunts Sweeney till this day. The media brings it up. Neely brings it up.
If Barzal is injury prone the rest of the way...
Also he is not the type of C they sign. Probably the reason why he wasn't drafted in the 1st place. Which was a mistake.
Pageau is definitely more of the type of center the Bruins org likes. Sturm has stressed... that the Bruins defensive system needs to return.

Looks decent.To COL: Barzal
To BOS: Necas
To NYI: 7th overall
So are they going to be closer to winning when Hagens is 25 and Pastrnak is 36?Because they clearly aren't close to winning and it's a great way to stay mid (the canucks special)
Would you say there is a better center on the Bruins? Im thinking with Pasta scoring 40-50 a year hes easily putting up PPG.Is he, though?
Salary wise? Valid. Not sure what he’s looking at and the Bruins have a lot committed on the backend.I would imagine the play here is the Isles would get the 7th and try to move up for Hagens.
Now what they have that the Bruins would give up the 7th for I'm not sure. Barzal? Boston doesnt seem like a fit for Dobson
Yea I feel like in terms of salary and caliber of player Dobson would be too high end for the 2nd pairingSalary wise? Valid. Not sure what he’s looking at and the Bruins have a lot committed on the backend.
Fit/player wise? Boston has a huge hole at RHD.

Soderstrom?
Why would you trade Zacha for a late pick, he and is contract are more valuable than a late 1st round pick.If the Islanders came out with Schaefer and Hagens.... that would be a very good draft.
The Bruins are impatient. No surprise.
If at 7... Martin doesn't drop. And Hagens is still available. I think a trade between these teams could happen.
Maybe after acquiring Pageau, the Bruins have something else lined up - like trading Zacha for a late teen 1st.
