Who was the last team to trade both its middle 6 wingers. I’d guess you couldn’t name many.

He’s been playing through something health wise and hasn’t found chemistry with Amadio. It’s a work in progress.

He seems to have turned a corner the last few games, I don’t doubt the points will start coming now.

Rookie GM mistakes and also a bit of bad luck.

Luck : Pinto is apparently ailed by an injury, Perron has dealt with injuries himself but also a huge personal problem where you just can't have your head anywhere else.

GM mistakes : outside of Perron, other common Pinto linemates Amadio, Cousins and Gregor are not going to help him offensively. As usual, the Sens bottom-6 F group is really poorly built and a clear weakness.

One would think this won’t last

It's never good to have a guy miss significant time, then come back and look completely different than he did in earlier showings. Means he's likely dealing with something that is lingering big time and he's just "playing through it". It's decimating his year, which is a huge shame for both him and the team.

I've said before that at some point I think he'll be shelved for a while as he gets surgery for whatever his ailment is, but that's pure speculation.

Plus, as mentioned, his linemates are offensive black holes.
