Seems like a guy that should have stuck as a 4th line C. Strong defensive game, veteran presence, limited minutes. Matt Cullen style. Oh well.

When was the last time you saw him play? His defensive game is awful just like his offensive game. Good riddance.

Johnson did not play badly, but he didn't bring anything more to the team that they didn't already have in younger developing players. He never moved the dial when on the ice. The team had other options, and when they claimed Wahlstrome, he was the obvious choice to let go. Wish him well.
