Another game for the 11 at center...clearly a showcase for some one who want to know if he can be a center

When I picture a Bruins bottom six guy, it’s Kastelic. He immediately got better when he put on that jersey. Good for him.

He was pretty good in his rookie season. He had a bit of a bump in his sophomore season but it's not an unusual thing in the NHL.

Bruins most likely specifically asked for him as they had to take on 75% of Korpisalo's contract in the trade. Many Sens fans wish we could have kept him, perfect 4th liner.

What a great deal for the Bruins. Plenty of the Bruins are not noticeable when I watch them play. Kastelic is almost always noticeable even though he doesn't get a lot of minutes. Seems to usually win faceoffs, makes a crap ton of hits, mixes it up and sticks up for teammates, and provides a little offense.

I figured he would parlay his success this season into trying to get more money than he signed for, but I guess he likes the 3 years, and if he can build on this season he can make good money on his next contract. Happy things are working out for Kastelic. He's a fun player to watch and easy to root for.
Kastelic is a quiet, sensitive kid who seems to be pretty hard on himself. I think the way things ended in Ottawa was a wake-up call to him about just how hard it is to be an everyday NHLer.

He took the fresh start and hit the ground running, but he is still a player who can go very long stretches without providing any offense. Having the security of a three year deal will allow him to just focus on hockey, and I think that will go a long way in helping him be more consistent.
