For some reason, in my brain, i always get this weird nagging idea that he's going to turn out to be a similar sort of smallish RHD like Ian White, who actually had a number of reasonable decent NHL years.

And i know that it's not true. That ship has sailed. And they're not even really all that similar in playing style. But nonetheless, i read about Ian Mitchell being re-signed or waived or traded or whatever, and my mind goes there.


So there's that. Not sure it's of any material value to the Bruins. But presumably this is just a typical AHL organizational depth signing. Easy to slip through to the minors and hope you never get far enough down the depth chart to have to bring him up and play him at all.
