HF Sens people are way too hard on this guy. He's a bottom pairing NHL defenseman. Could they have a better player there? Sure. But most teams in the league would say the same about their bottom pair guys.

HF Sens just can't survive without a whipping boy.

I'm sure if a team had an opening and a need for some grit on the back end, Boro could go for a 3rd. He's capable of doing the job.

The problem with Boro is that he doesn't make up for dumb plays in some way. He doesn't bring anything to the table beyond effort and toughness. He can't offer an ability to undo his weaknesses.

Gryba, for example, was a great PKer on top of his effort and toughness. Id also argue he made less mistakes than Boro. He is an example of a fine #6 that gets too much flak because of his obvious limitations that many other bottom pairing dmen share.

Boro's greatest ability just leads to penalties.

Honestly is he even a bottom pairing defenceman on every team? I think he might be a #6 on 5-7 teams but those teams are rebuilding so they wouldn't want him. So yes he is that bad.

If we ever trade boro and get more then a 3rd or manage to trade him without a pick or prospect in return then I will put up any avatar of your choice. Keep in mind that Benning and bergevin are still gms in the league... That's how confident I am that it won't happen

Have you seen how small and insignificant Boro's contract is?

I know  That type of HFer is the type that will say "you will have to add Chabot to Borowiecki if you want to get rid of that contract!"

In reality, Sens could just burry the contract in the AHL like they did with Greening, except that's it's almost 3x less money

I'd say "several whipping boy". Now that Cowen, Greening, Wiercioch and Chiasson are gone, Boro is in deep trouble. Neil will continue to be a semi-whipping boy, but I wonder who else will emerge as a "WB"

Borowiecki is a below average #6 Dman, and an "ok" 7th D-man, and is paid accordingly so, but for some reason, the hate he receives is astoundingly high.
