And while we take a break from our usual good goaltending tomorrow night, I have to point out that Vanecek is a .930% in 7 games since being pulled in Carolina on December 20th.

He’s also 5-1-0 in 6 starts since then. The only loss being 2-1 to Boston.

I can already see the excuses from the 3 or 4 remaining Blackwood supporters (some of whom go MIA in games he doesn’t play) that LA is really good and we should have threw him in against Anaheim, as LA is spectacular.

And if he plays well, it’ll be “I thought Blackwood sucks tho LMFAO” and “You need to eat crow! A bad goalie cannot have a good game!”.

It would be the most Ruff Blackwood thing ever. Like the Vancouver game and win (after Vitek won 3 in a row) that turned into the Edmonton game a couple nights later, where he got injured.

Vitek has won 5 in a row and is a .930% since being pulled. Blackwood is an .898% in that same time and 1-1-1 and that even includes his good Florida game.
