Being tough to notice is generally a good thing for rookie defenseman that aren't lauded for their offensive skills.

Honestly, that was just a good game. Thought we played really well defensively and didn’t give them much. I get the frustration with Bedard not putting up more points, but this team is miles better defensively than last year.

I've certainly noticed Allan's play and we have also seen he can join the offense. I look to see that aspect of his game increase with experience. He's a keeper.

Bringing up Nolan Allan, who I stated was a better prospect then Korchinski countless times, and putting Korchinski in the A where he belongs, does wonders for the defense.

Well Hawks played well for 2 period then got barrage all 3rd period.. Mrazek stole the game there enabling Hawksctobget to the 3x3 phoney game and win it ...but Hawks hemned in own zone nearly all 3rd period except for that late Donato chance ...Hawksvugly team to each given how terrible the offensive threats are..

Bedard did nothing this game...slow on loose pucks...uncreative ...can't get shots on target..easily checked..hemned in own zone ..chasing all night...Bedard totally ineffective and not a threat at all..not handling the puck well when he had it...which was not that often anyway..

Fans get excited by young dmen who impress offensively and it's understandable. Unfortunately, a good many can't hack the NHL.
