1. The Los Angeles Kings have won back-to-back championships in the last two full seasons.*

2. The State of California has three Cups to it's credit; no other state has matched that since 1998.

3. I haven't researched it, but I am not sure any goaltender has completely shut out an opponent from the third period on in a SCF that went at least five games (and we actually talking seven full periods plus two partial ones) until Quick did it in 2014. Too lazy to research it right now.

*Don't get riled up, Blackhawks fan, I am not taking anything away from your Cup. Just stating an interesting stat, that's all.

Two cents...

1) we should have a new prefix in the drop down, "Boredom Setting In:"

2) the system won two Cups, no coach or player or luck was involved.

I don't even know the answer to this question...how many points and/or infractions can you get before you lose the avatar?

Maybe a mod can answer me if no one else knows...

2 infractions (10 points) or more = no avatar.

(10 points) = the following are disabled: search, poll posting, avatar, attachments, email to a friend, profile editing, invisibility, signature, username changes, vbookie privileges, and post editing. The PM quota is reduced to 10

(15 points) = Level 1 + complete loss of PM + ability to start new threads.

Thanks Tony.

Even then, it's not a back-to-back, especially when it's 2012, 2014, and the fact the Blackhawks won in 2013--disregarding the fact it's a shortened season like 1995 and not a scenario like 2004-05.

Enough nitpicking on my end, but the 2014 LA Kings have played the most games possible on their way to the Stanley Cup Final, clocking in at 21.

I put in enough disclaimers in my post to choke a cow. Didn't you read them?

The Kings are the first ever team to win 2 cups with pure luck and pixie dust.

Not just luck, puck luck.

4. The Kings are the first team in the history of the universe to beat the best goalie Darryl Sutter has ever seen.

5. The Kings are the first team I have ever put two championship magnets of on my car.

Too lazy to confirm this. But, I believe this is the shortest off season for the Kings in team history.

It just feels so long....

At least we got to watch the replay of the Kings smashing NYR today... totally worth deleting Sharknado for space on the dvr... um....

This season may seem slow too.. without being compressed by a lockout or Olympics... We've all been on hockey overload last few years.
