Look, I like you as a poster - but this **** is soooo tired. No matter what Patty gets it's not enough, and his shortcomings are always someone else's fault.
Here are the facts about Patrik Laine:
He has the skill, size, and shot to be in a conversation with McDavid, Matthews, and Crosby as one of the best in the game right now.
He still needs to figure some stuff out in his head - understand what it takes every shift to get there.
He has shown that he can score with ease, he can be physical, he can make great defensive plays, can rush the puck and dangle, and pass beautifully.
He is still not doing this consistently. I am still seeing too much of the guy who forechecks half assedly, stops skating with the puck, makes poor reads all over the ice, takes too long to make a decision.
The youth argument at some point has to lose some weight - he has plenty of NHL experience and he has to start putting some of this stuff together consistently at this level if he doesn't just want to be a 'good scorer'.
My main frustration with Laine is he has everything he needs to be elite, except for the will to do the things he needs to to get there, consistently.
What so bad a out the post.
He is the 3rd wheel.
Nothing wrong with 55 and 81 being a gunner.

The problem with some of you people answer here.
It's like all Laine fans is over protecting him.
It is what it is.
I never stated he should be the gunner so he can score more goals.
Just me stating some earlier poster raking at him not scoring more goals.

Just because Laine has more fans doesn't mean he needs to get rake so bad here from non Laine fan.

I'm good that their line is scoring as well as 2nd line.
Sometimes I'm hard on Wheeler and coach.
Yes because I have higher standard for them than the rest of the players. They are the main leaders.
But primary I comment all good comments to all players when they are getting bash.
That is just me......
