"It's as good as sci-fi action adventures get in many ways." —AIPT

"Rook settled on Exodus for a new life, but now he’s a lone avian Warden on an alien wasteland with one burning question to face: Fight or flight? Hundreds of years from now, the man known as Rook was once a simple farmer who fled the crumbling Earth for a new life. He traveled to the planet Exodus, a terraformed world where all of nature, including its imported animal population, was completely controlled by humans called Wardens. But when Exodus’s world engine failed, the Wardens’ power fell into the wrong hands, creating chaos and mass evacuation…for those who could afford it. The rest, like Rook, must scavenge for an escape vessel as the war for control of what’s left of Exodus begins.

Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok, the celebrated team behind the smash hit Batman: Three Jokers, reunite for an all-new science fiction series"! https://www.amazon.com/Rook-Exodus-Flight-Geoff-Johns/dp/1534367365/ref=sr_1_1?

"The complete, definitive collection of the chilling supernatural crime saga of the familial drug empire in New Orleans’ seedy underbelly.

“The Ash”, which lets you connect to the memories of the dead, is the drug du jour in New Orleans. That’s good news for the Winters family, the only ones who know how to produce it, except that it puts them in the crosshairs of much more dangerous criminal syndicates. Under siege by rivals on all sides and the dark secrets of The Ash itself, can the Winters family survive? And what does survival mean when resurrection is only a hit away? The complete run of Eisner Award-nominated writer Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, The Empty Man) and illustrator Jonas Scarf (Basilisk, Dark X-Men)’s critically-acclaimed series blends horror, crime, and family drama, collected in a single volume for the first time! Collects Bone Parish #1-12". https://www.amazon.com/Bone-Parish-Complete-Collection-Cullen/dp/B0D77T59WF/ref=sr_1_1?

I'm recommending critically acclaimed books for those who don't have time to read reviews.

I believe that I read every Batman published between 1972 and the end of Greg Capulo and Scott Snyder’s run several years ago.

Along the way I read a ton of adjacent titles relating to the rest of the bat family, plenty of cross-over DC wide events, a large chunk of Green Lantern and a small spattering of other DC heroes.

I also read an exorbitant amount of 1990s X-men and everything Captain America and Winter Soldier from Civil War forward, as well as a ton of Thor and Daredevil.

Thanks for posting. I'm gonna re-try to post some critically acclaimed books and see if there's any response.

"A comics anthology that puts a new, diverse spin on popular genres and pop culture icons. THE HORIZON EXPERIMENT collects five one-shots by some of the most celebrated names in comics, literature, TV, and film, providing pilots for new series featuring a Chinese James Bond, a Muslim exorcist, a reverse Indiana Jones, East African werewolves living in Miami, and an Evil Dead for black nerds. Everyone’s challenge was the same: Create a protagonist from a marginalized background in a popular genre where if their background changed, so did the entire story.
THE HORIZON EXPERIMENT stories include:
The Manuchurian by Pornsak Pichetshote, Terry & Rachel Dodson: a thriller featuring a Chinese super spy by inspired by James Bond.

The Sacred Damned by Sabir Pirzada: a love letter to classic horror and follows a Muslim exorcist.

Moon Dogs by Tananarive Due: a family of Black lycanthropes of East African descent find themselves caught in a war when the truth comes out that werewolves aren't just a myth.

Motherf#cking Monsters by J. Holtham & Michael Lee Harris: a nerdy Black kid from Brooklyn and his friends stumble upon demon-worshipping frat brothers trying to take over the world.

Finders/Keepers by Vita Ayala: a reverse Indiant Jones adventure that follows an archeology grad student who steals artifacts from museums to return them to their native cultures". https://www.amazon.com/Horizon-Experiment-Pornsak-Pichetshote/dp/1534337008/ref=sr_1_1?

"Redcoat mixes history and the unknown for a tantalizing start." —AIPT

"Immortal. Mercenary. Kind of a tool. Meet Simon Pure, the newest UNNAMED hero, created by comic all-stars Geoff Johns and Bryan Hitch. British soldier and all-around rogue Simon Pure has led quite an exciting life. Or lives, really. After a failed assassination of General George Washington at the Battle of Trenton in 1776, Simon stumbled upon hooded figures performing a bizarre ritual that accidentally gave him immortality. Since that fateful day, Simon has died and returned countless times over, rubbing elbows (and sometimes fists) with history’s most renowned figures, including his nemesis Benedict Arnold, Albert Einstein, and many more. But what are the true origins and extent of Simon’s power, and the clandestine cabal behind them? And how does this group intend to use him to destroy America? Simon means to find out, even if it finally kills him"! https://www.amazon.com/Redcoat-1-Ei...44849024&sprefix=Redcoat+Vol.+1,aps,98&sr=8-1
