TBL coming off of 6 days off - nothing but practice and rest

We've had 7 in out last 14

To me, that's what it looked like. We were a 1/3rd of a step slower
Practice, rest, revenge and definitely a lot of video time. They seemed to really defend our PP well tonight.

The soft pass to the boards when crossing their blue was picked off or broken up about 2-3 times each power play.

I'm not going to overanalyze this loss. I'm sure we all saw the same thing, a team that was outplayed.

Was it preparation (the Lightning looked prepared) desperation from the Lightning, fatigue from the warm sun of Florida, bad ice, a good time had in New York, we'll never know, but banking all these points allows for off nights.

Now comes back to back with the defending champs followed by a grueling road trip. We'll see what comes next.

I thought Morrissey was pretty dialed in this game.

Brandon Hagel on the other side impressed me the most.

The effort was not there tonight but it won’t be every night. Tampa was probably embarrassed from the last beating we gave ‘em and they were rested and ready. Comrie is an AHL goalie and you saw that tonight.

Let’s see how we bounce back.
That's exactly it. Each team we beat will want revenge when they meet is again. Expect to be challenged each and every time, so prepare for it.

Maybe the Jets are like the Green Lantern, but instead of becoming weak against the colour yellow, it's against the colour blue with a mix of white?

I realize that the Jets have been playing a bit and that Tampa was rested. I didn't see the whole game but some folks said Comrie played OK. I'm not so sure from what I saw of him....looked slow and awkward going from post to post at times and 0.893 won't cut it if the guys in front are having an "off" night. I really don't get the Jets' infatuation with him.

Comrie was the least of our problems IMO. He played fine, but the team in front of him was a step behind all night.

Agree, the Bolts had much more jump for sure. Nice aggressive PK as well.

Better team last night won. Flush and onto the next one.

Been a fun start to the season. If we want to have a loss every 4-7 games to an Eastern Conference team, that's the best scenario.

Onto the next one with a refreshed Helly to start another multi-game run :)

One narrative I have heard from Arniel and some of the players is the ability to reset after a game and focus on the next. They have done a good job of that for the wins so hopefully it is the same for a loss. Only one so far prior to last night so I am curious how the team bounce back.

To me it is those kinds of things that can separate a very good team from a great team
