However, it would have been super interesting to see what people would have had to say in this thread had Florida lost in the finals.

Bobs was only one game away from the most epic goaltending collapse of perhaps all time. He went from Conn Smythe candidate after Game 3 of the SCF to Patrick Lalime beachball meme bad for 3 games before holding on for the cup win.

After SCFGame 3: .915 for the playoffs, .954 for the SCFs to that point
Next 3 SCF Games: 0.785 average

If Game 7 was as bad as Game 4, he would have ended the playoffs sub .900, which is insane considering where he had been sitting after 20 games.

But, he won when it mattered, so it's a moot point.

Hero/villain can really come down to one game though.

Wasn't Mason a part of that trade? I swear there were reporters claiming Philly robbed the BJs. I'm misremembering, two separate trades in different years.

This is absolutely incorrect. Game 4 we got absolutely dumpstered all over the ice. Game 5 Bob was not good. Game 6, we played piss poor. What mattered is Bob played 4 ELITE GAMES AND AN ELITE GAME 7. No one cares about what ifs
