The comment made by @TransplantedCaper was that the league, team and media show be responsible for presenting Hull as a "Great player, shitty person" for the sake of his victims, family members etc... lest there be a sense that this is being swept under the rug.
Why shouldn't everyone else also be "responsible" for respecting the wishes of his family by not immediately posting about how shitty a person they were. That you aren't directing your post at the family is no excuse, you know that in this day and age, anything said online is as good as being a "public" proclamation as much as press release/conference or article in the pre-internet times.
