He's been on my "trade for the right price" list for years now. Happy to have him but not indispensable and I don't even really consider him core.

I think it speaks to our roster that when the rest of the team is relatively healthy, we can afford the loss of Tarasenko, but I'd still rather have him than trade him. Especially considering Hoffman is only a 1 year contract and despite his recent success I expect the Blues to use his money to address other upcoming contracts.
