Nice play.

I think that’s the nail for the playoffs. I know we haven’t mathematically clinched but that’s a big win. The Coyotes are done.

Carter Hutton - Wikipedia

Having concluded his two-year deal with the Blues, Hutton agreed to a three-year, $8.25 million contract with the Buffalo Sabres on July 1, 2018.[12] He put up an 18–25–5 record in his first season with the Sabres as they failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Maybe we can get him for a steal in 2021-2022

It is certainly worth taking a look at. Husso is not a NHL caliber goaltender.

Hutton is toast. Sure he plays behind Buffalo’s D, but he’s at best a side grade to Husso, and he’s been injury prone in his Buffalo tenure

Hate to see Husso have a solid 1st and 2nd only to falter in the third.

agree... the team started letting up and Minny got some prime choices, and they see something with the glove, as others here have noted as well

I'd like to see these kids (especially a goalie in his 1st year) get a full camp and this year under his belt to see if he's anything or not.
heck, he might not be. wouldn't be the first one thru here that didn't pan out
but also like to see if Mikkola, Kyrou, walman..etc.. do into a full camp next year. might see some good growth

And he needs to just calm down. Reminds me a little of another Finn; Petteri Lindbohm.
that's a good call.. Petteri came in knowing we needed someone to play hardass hockey, and he threw his body around (more than his size really should have let him) and got hurt, then stalled ,then...
Mikkola has a rep in the lower ranks over being overly aggressive to the point where his coaches had to tell him to reel it in.
so the mentality is def there.. just needs to focus on what he's supposed to do, settle in, then let the other parts play when needed
