Good to see that effort, especially in the third. I was thinking that this might just be one of those games that didn't work out, but they fought through it.

And you had to admire Kyrou's discipline.....he didn't do anything to prevent that puck from going into the net after it rolled off his stick. Hey, I've been watching hockey for over 50 years, and I've seen as many ugly and lucky goals as I have seen good ones! And they all count the same.

That's six points in the last three games, when a week ago we might have been willing to take three out of this stretch.

I mean he's had multiple 45+ point seasons. He's now getting to play with more offensive players again and he's looking good. Good player who can play up and down the lineup when needed.
Yes I know, but how his previous season has gone not include Cup rings he has slowed down.

Now he is grinding up in corners, being feisty. Like it a lot. Really playing best of his game. Maybe he is healthy and really enjoying playing the game. Like Jbo did.

It's honestly just who he's playing with and what the coach is needing him and his line to do.

LOL the Wild GDT first page (pregame) is a full page about “just not seeing it” with Thomas.

So Mike Hoffman is now third on the team in points.

He might not be a defensive player, but the guy just flat-out scores. I always liked him in Ottawa, although he's not playing the same as he is when he was there. Although, I do like how he can just will offense.

Lmao did you save this off HF boards? Pretty sure I posted this during Hamilton's Memorial Cup run a couple years ago

Krug has received more than his fair share of grief from this HF fan base and some of it is "deserved".

I do, however, want to point out that Krug is on pace for 46 assists, which is very much on pace with his career averages over 82 games.
Contract aside, he has been pretty good this year. Gets way more grief from the fanbase than his play deserves IMO.

I'm watching the whole game now. It's much different than what I was hearing on the radio (Kerbs and Vitale).

Good 1st, just no payoff.

The 2nd was bad, but not as bad as I pictured it listening to the radio. Everybody skating, but having trouble with the Wild's system and tenacity. After the Wild went up 3-1 I didn't see the Blues pout as I pictured them doing based on the radio broadcast. They kept working. A few okay shifts deep in the Wild zone. No lazy dumps with players coasting. Binny solid. Good PK late in the period, otherwise it's lights out.

The late 3rd was fantastic...of course. IMO they built off of the solid PK at the end of the 2nd. Man, Hoffman left all alone in his office...LETHAL.

BTW, anybody on the Wild besides Greenway? These national broadcasters seems to focus on just a few guys.

All in all, a good metal toughness check for the team. I doubted them, butt they proved me wrong. Also good D performance considering who we are missing. Kudos to Scandella, Nikko, Faulker, Bort, Wallman, Krug, and Santini.
