I will be following this game with great interest - sounds like the Utah guys are ramping up for it should be a good one.
That just means that Toro, Faksa or Walker should dump the puck to his side early in the game and drill him hard into the boards. See if he still wants to go out swinging.
Of course, we sit Tucker for Leddy for some stupid reason, so we won’t have anyone to counter their cement head O’Brien if he gets to running around.
Oh my god! Look at that highly skilled 3rd line that Bolduc is on. I can't believe people want to see Bolduc with Thomas when he can't even score 5v5 with players far better than Thomas on the 3rd line.
I think you want Bolduc on the third line because the third lines usage has resulted in near league best expected goals against.
You’d probably want to not ruin that.
5v5 is half about how you score and half about how they score.
Maybe Sunny’s results aren’t sexy but they’re elite. Maybe you can promote Bolduc but then do you still get this elite result? Idk.

O'Brien is out tonight
The third line has shown good chemistry over the last month or so, they obviously just want that to continue tonight.

I think tonight's 3rd line is more of a compliment/trust in that line than it is a preference for Snuggy in the top 6. I also think it is a recognition from the coaching staff that Bolduc is more trusted as an all-situations player than Snuggy.
I don't think swapping Bolduc/Snuggy improves the 2nd line more than it weakens the 3rd line. I'm extremely content using Neighbours-Thomas-Buch to match up against the Keller-Cooley-Guenther line, heavily sheltering the Snuggy-Schenn-Kyrou line to all out offense and then using Joseph-Sunny-Bolduc as an all situations 3rd line. Everyone knows the WTF line's job. We have last change tonight. I want my lines to have a specific identity and purpose tonight. I see that in these lines.

Are you familiar with Kesselring? 6'5 220. Walker's scrappy but if a hit from a guy half his weight makes Kesselring want to quit, he should reconsider his profession.
I really don't want to wait another 2 days to find out our fate. Lets close this thing down tonight.

I don't care about the wait. Backing into the playoffs on a 4 game losing streak will kill our momentum, or at least beat it further.
If this team is going to do any damage. We need momentum, confidence and swagger. Going out and grabbing this chance strongly with both hands can be a momentum re-starting event.

We need something from the captain tonight. He made it clear at the deadline that he believes in this group and wants to be here. He was red hot after the trade deadline, with 5 goals and 10 points in 11 games.
But he has 0 points in the last 7 games.
That's not good enough and we need more from him than the physicality he always finds a way to bring. Doesn't matter what he's battling or the disrupted chemistry on his line. We have a chance to control our own destiny at home and he wears the C. He absolutely has to find a way onto the scoresheet tonight.
Give me Snuggy's first NHL goal on a feed from Schenn early in the game to blow the roof off the building. Thomas takes over from there and Binner closes the door.

That too, although I feel like we are staring down the barrel of first round exit either way. A win would be a nice surprise but I have tempered expectations of this team. The future is brighter than the present.

As a Blues fan tonight, all I can say is find a way and win. Do things in steps. Tonight, just win. That's all. If any member of Utah wants to pitch a fit, put them through the boards. Don't let Binny and Dingo be our sole Goons. They want to fight, put them through the boards. They want to check, put them through the boards. Don't get cute and fancy with the stickplay, too. Most likely outcome. But I'd rather lose in a tough 6 than get blown out in a quick 4. Besides, the team we saw during the streak can beat the Jets in 7. The ceiling is there. We're unlikely to hit that again this year, but if we do it starts tonight.
