Leddy being back should help a little, once he gets settled in. The bad thing about that is that we hasve no prospects that are ready to play instead of him.

Nice set up for Thomas to practise his one-timer. Too bad it went straight to the goalie's body, where he could handle it.

Blues are trying to force too many pucks thorough bodies. If you don't have a lane, get it deep and go to work. You know work. That thing the Blues don't like to do.

New defensive strategy by Faulk is to jump on the opposing forward's back, put your arms around him, and push him downward. He thinks the 1950s "anything goes" rules still apply. But I'll take it as long as the refs cooperate. :D

The rebound popped straight out to the unguarded Thomas, who had a lot of open net, but he again blasted it directly at the goalie. Too bad he didn't lift it a bit higher to clear his glove. Then Kyrou rolled the puck when he had a good chance.

Three really good chances to score so far, nothing to show for it. I like the pace that we're playing with tonight. Can't keep giving away chances though.

this is a rough home regular season.

for me, the very best regular season of Blues hockey was 90-91. there was 80-81 and 99-00 and some others but 90-91 was the pinnacle experience if I could only pick one, it was squarely in the dozen-ish year Norris Division era which was the very best era IMO

hey now, thats how I learned it
That's how I learned it too. I started playing near the beginning of the 1950s. We were "allowed", nay, instructed, to IMPEDE the puck carrier. I liked the game better back then than today's game, with players falling down on their own, and the closest defender gets called for tripping, or teams have pantomime artists who flip their heads backwards to pretend they were high-sticked, and the ref calls a penalty.

Yeah, Kyrou really needs to do something with that good of a chance.

Our D looks solid tonight. We can beat the Oilers. Y'all feel free to expect less, I demand more from a team spent pretty close to the cap.

Boys .. BE KILLERS tonight. I wanna see McD cry again.

Looked like Kyrou got held by the back checking forward. Very few replays on the ESPN feed, but looked like it could have been a holding penalty to me.
